Eight-year-old Dori clings to a picture frame of her late mother, using it as a source of comfort, leaving her older sister, Grace, feeling excluded. When Dori forgets to include her mother in playing pretend, a dot falls off Dori’s dress. She panics to fix it before Grace and the intern slam her bedroom door. The frame falls and breaks, leaving her heartbroken. With Grace’s help, they mend the frame—and in doing so, begin to mend their bond, allowing Dori to let go and reconnect with her sister.
